Help Us Celebrate Staff Appreciation Week at Newfane Elementary! 🎉

Dear Newfane Elementary Families,

Staff Appreciation Week is right around the corner, and we’re so excited to celebrate the incredible adults who care for, support, and inspire our students every single day! Please submit your appreciation on our google form, so that we can print and give those recognitions to our staff.  From May 4-8, we’ll be honoring our teachers, instructional associates, clerical staff, related service providers, custodians, bus drivers, and our school nurse with a special theme each day—and we would love your help to make it extra meaningful!

Here’s what we have planned:

 Monday – Sweet Start
Freshly baked cookies will roll through the building on a treat cart to start the week with smiles.
 Tuesday – Cinco De Mayo!
Our wonderful PTSA will be treating us to a Mexican Nacho Bar!
 Wednesday –  Sip, Smile, and Say Aloha
Our Hawaiian-themed hydration station, wellness table will offer refreshing drinks and self-care with an in-school massage therapist!
 Thursday – Coffee Bar Thursday
Today is a great day to thank a staff member with a TimCard!
 Friday – Feast Fit for the Best
We’re inviting families to donate dishes for a staff luncheon—our grand finale feast to wrap up the week!

We’d be so grateful for your support in making this week special. If you’re able to contribute snacks, drinks, or a dish for Friday’s feast, please sign up on ParentSquare.

In addition to the food and festivities, we encourage families to send in thank-you notes, drawings, or small tokens of appreciation for all of the adults who play a role in your child’s school day—this includes classroom teachers, special education teachers, specials teachers, related service providers (such as speech, OT, PT), instructional associates, clerical staff, bus drivers, and custodians. A kind word or a handmade card goes a long way in showing how much they are valued!

Thank you to those of you who have signed up to donate to our Staff Feast for tomorrow. Please drop off items to the main office anytime before 10:45 am if possible. Our staff eats lunch from 11-1:30 pm so any pizzas being delivered can come during that time. Thank you again for helping us celebrate our staff!
